ABOUT AMIR

Amir Barnett, EIT is a 25-year-old self-taught visual artist based in Washington, DC. Barnett has created a unique and highly coveted visual language combining his love for thought, music, and movement with symbols and line work from his technical work as a surface water engineer. Barnett’s use of bold line work, colors, and shapes resemble environmental symbols found in engineering plan sets created by softwares like Civil3D, ArcGIS Pro, Hec-RAS, and more.

Amir has a true artists spirit, stating that he has a deep inner need to create. As he pursues his Professional Engineering license, he will continue to explore his gift of connecting his right and left brain through engineering and art.

Barnett recently SOLD OUT his first solo art show in May 2024, at Homme Gallery in Washington, DC. The show received over 200 attendees and multiple works were sold.
